Deep Tissue Mobilization and Therapeutic Body Work
What is Deep Tissue mobilization and Body Work?
Deep tissue bodywork, sometimes in combination with joint and spinal mobilization, identifies areas of tissue and joint tightness and uses forceful and dynamic hands-on techniques to normalize the involved regions.
These techniques can be used to treat existing injuries and identify areas with abnormalities that could lead to injury if left untreated.
Other benefits include stress release, circulation improvement, tension lessening, and pain reduction.
How is it performed?
A massage performed as deeply as possible achieves the best physiological effect on the body. The deeper it is performed, the more the nervous centers are stimulated and the greater the effect on the treated tissue. This results in faster effects and a greater degree of reflexive therapeutic effects, such as the production of endorphins.
